I want to know how many people out there use a laptop for gaming? If so, what are your specs? What is the projected performance based on the specs of your laptop? This should be good. . .

My rig :
ECS G732
15" UXGA 1400x1250
P4 2.6GHz 533fsb (Desktop cpu)
512mb PC2700 DDR
Hitatchi 60gig 5400rpm
DVD/CDRW
Dlink DWL-G650 wireless pcmcia card
64mb Mobility Radeon 9000
SB Audigy NX (by the time HL2 comes out)
This machine has served me well, and is used for my job also. Hopefully I can run at near medium settings, but I will prolly run @ min for sake of frame rate. :hmph:

Whats your opinion on the Audigy NX? Good, bad other?

i use a laptop for gaming... its pretty decent.. i have 2 actually...

1st one:

Acer Travelmate 800
Pentium M 1.5ghz
1gig RAM
60GB HD
Mobility Radeon 9000 64mb

2nd one:

Acer Travelmate 8000
Pentium M 1.6ghz
512MB RAM (Soon to be 1536MB)
60GB HD
Mobility Radeon 9700 128mb

The mobility radeon 9000 was good for its time... got it around end of last year.. and got the new laptop middle of this year..

the 9000 would play max payne 2 on 1024 at high settings... pretty decent fps.. some lag now and then..

but the 9700 really makes a difference. max payne 2 is like tetris for it. i play far cry at 1400 res. all high settings and get decent fps. only lags now and then coz of my limited RAM.. but im hoping to change that :D

Im trying to get it working on my Acer Travelmate 800 (1.6centrino 512ram ati 9000mobile). Has anyone had any luck on a similar system? I can only get to the start (just after the valve splash screen), and it seems to freeze...might need to update my video drivers..

My laptop seems to run HL2 okay, though It's not worthy playing compared to my desktop, so I wait when I am away from desktop.
