I think I'm going to start looking for a clan, because I'm sick of playing on pub servers where everyone runs around doing their own dumb thing. I'm a fairly decent player... I wouldn't consider myself "leet" but I have my moments of pwn3rn355!1211!

anyways.

If anyone here is in a decent clan with a vent or teamspeak server who is recruiting or wouldn't mind having another member, please reply or pm or whatever.

Thanks!

I use to play it...kinda got boring after a while. Also yes...I was pretty good at it. :D

Same with me too, it just got boring after a while ;(

I get bored sometimes.... so I stop... then I play again the next day.... It's more fun if you have interesting people to play with though. Playing on pub servers gets boring.

Use to play it but i dont have much time for other games besides cs. :/

What is WolfET?

wolfenstein enemy territory

As with RTCW, ET only comes alive in clan play (as do all objective, teambased shooters really) BF1942 and UT are far better public server experiences imo.

Where you from Raziel-Jcd? If you're in europe I suggest you have a look here:

It's worth the effort - no other game requires as much teamplay, tactics/strategy and skill as ET at the moment (RTCW was a better clan game imo - but has just died ;()

Drop by here sometime, *BiO* Clanserver. 212.13.197.137:27964

Most of the players who frequent this server are skilled clan members (which makes a nice change - most servers being a chaotic exercise in running about and shooting at things ;) )

That's public servers for you :/

Fun for a while - but can get very boring (same with most games imo)

did you used to play on multiplay.co.uk servers? i distinctly remember someone called Tr0n (with a white and light blue lettered name). i was Dedalus of course. and if i remember correctly, you were damn good (if you're the right person).

i used to play the game to death. i still know the maps inside out. the best place for mines, the best sniping positions, best tactics etc. i never got round to joining a clan, but i'd sure like to take it up again.

Join a clan then Dedalus :) - it really is a completely different game then (far more rewarding and satisfying)

Aside from the basic moving and shooting skills, you'll have to through almost everything you learnt on public servers out the window - it really is that different.

Same here. :) It rocked being a medic on a big server on the snow level :D

i am very interested in joining a clan right now. so sick of kids being selfish and not helping the team. the hard part though is to find the right clan. any suggestions? i'm just looking for a group of friendly blokes who play as a team and are fairly mature (but know how to have a laugh). i won't be applying for a clan right now though since i'm off to heathrow in about 8 hours :P so i'll sign up for one when i get back.

what sort of new skills will you need in an ET clan?

Mainly understanding how clan games work (watching demos of good teams can really help in this respect) That sounds simple - but i'm still learning stuff even after 2 years of Wolf.

The spawn timer is very important, as is using /kill at the right time. All the obvious stuff - like sticking together, communicating over comms, setting up cross fire, holding your position etc.

Find the right bunch of guys and this is as good as gaming gets imo :) (the only downside is that playing on a public server suddenly becomes super boring in comparison)

There's loads of tossers about :/ (but not nearly as bad as CS) There's also loads of top blokes around.

This is the clan i'm in http://kaizen.clanwars.net/ , #kaizen-clan on quakenet. Drop by if you want (we aren't that active anymore - but still play a match or two a week)

Oooo Oooo! Me! That's where i got good at fps's i could get 2-1 k/d without using panzer or anything. I was either a medic or a flamethrower(most underrated weapon in the game, imho)

thanks :) i guess most of the stuff is common sense. when you're out in a game, you just do what you gotta do at the time. always keen to learn new tricks though ;)

might give your clan a looksee when i get back.
