who wants some Phish food?

Those look lovely, never heard of them though :(

I love the band Phish, which the Icre Cream was named after. With my Ben and Jerry's, I tend towards Heath Bar Crunch or Chubby Hubby on the unusual occasion that I eat sweet food.

Mmm, ice cream. I prefer going to cold stone and buying some. They have really good ice cream there.

Oh man, Phish Phood is greeeat. Dublin Mudslide is even better though, and Cherry Garcia > ALL.

A) Who in the holy heck hasn't heard of Ben and Jerry's?!?

and

B) They make the best icecream ever. I never get it because its addicting on a scary level.

There's something I didn't know. That ice cream is named after a band named "Phish", who would have thought it? Now, I feel a bit weird for never having heard of that band. Which are their most famous songs?

You see, I got something --useful-- out of this otherwise useless thread :)

I thought I was the only one. Have you been to many shows? I've been to well over 30 shows. I started going to see them in 1994. I saw Trey and Mike this winter in Asheville NC. 'Twas a sad day when they called it quits.

You guys really need to try some decent ice cream : Italian Icecream served with a scoop ftmfw

I only just discovered Phish this past summer... right after their last tour, which makes me want to cry. You live in Asheville? I'm in Durham :D

Still, I'm nuts about Phish, have about 15-20 cds (most studio releases and a lot of live stuff).

Good songs? Here we go:

Stash
Llama
Tweezer Reprise
Free, Character Zero, Theme from the Bottom, Prince Caspian, and the rest of Billy Breathes
The Squirming Coil
Reba
Oh Kee Pah Ceremony
Bouncing Around the Room
Fee
Golgi Apparatus
Bug, Twist, Sand, Piper, Sleep, Dirt, The Inlaw Josie Wales and the rest of Farmhouse
Fluffhead
Gamehendge (56 minutes long!)
A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing
Scents and Subtle Sounds
Undermind
Rift
Maze
Sparkle
Weigh
Round Room
Pebbles and Marbles
Friday
Waves
Split Open and Melt
46 Days
Horn
The Wedge
Ghost
Birds of a Feather
Wading in the Velvet Sea
Limb by Limb

... those are my favorites, but there are a lot more GREAT songs.

by the way, I meant to say Mint Chocolate Chunk, not Chuck D:

Unless you live near Vermont you have never, and will never hear them on the radio. They are not that type of band. They are a "jam band". Meaning their emphasis is live shows like the Grateful Dead and not studio work like pop music bands. They never play a song the same way twice. Some songs reach upward of thirty minutes when played live. They all have degrees in music and unlike pop musicians they are actually very talented musicians.

I wish I lived in Asheville. I live in Ohio ;( . My second favorite band, Gov't Mule, had a music festival in Asheville this winter (Xmas Jam) and Trey played with Mike and a drummer I didn't recognize at this festival. I really loved my time in NC though. Great state. With regards to your Phish discovery, better late than never. :)
