Who wants to make a mod???

hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone wanted to make a mod. I am thinking of starting a HL2 mod, but i know nothing about using the HL2 sdk, i have done some modelling but only in solid edge and some work in Adobe illustrator and Photoshop. I would like to start a Total Recall Mod for HL2. It would be based on the movie but also on the novelisation. I would be more like a concept artist, presenting conceptualised ideas for the mod to others in a team. I dont know if anyone has any suggestions, i just have some awesome ideas for a mod like this and would love to have some others join me in working on it, atleast have some ideas and start some mock up models and drawings/renderings.

Hmm.

1. There is a modding forum on this here site. Use it.
2. Generally speaking, mods whose leader does pretty much nothing find it hard to get off the ground. Sounds like you can model a bit, though.
3 Not a bad idea, but too vague a concept. Sort it out.

Actually a good leader does not always have to do EVERYTHING!!! he delegates, and usually has one main profession or speciality, in my sense, cocnept artist, and ideas, and i know alittle about modelling, and i currently work in the industry, all you need is a few people with some good skills, someone with a good idea, and is able to delegate what can be done, together with his/her group and you have a mod group.

Follow the storyline of the Total Recall novelisation, where you the player take the role of Douglass Quaid, in first person, everything happening before your eyes, no cutscenes, just like HL2. Starting the mod with:: a dream, walking around the pyramid mine with Melina (his girlfriend), then you fall backwards, in slow motion as you see the figure of melina dissapear as you desend, perhaps you are inflicted with pain, dying, bleeding, Panting and heavy breathing.....then you vision clear up, fades tfrom black and you wake up in your bead, all in first person, the cmaera tilts your view as if you were slleping as you sit up, and then.....black screen with title.... TOTAL RECALL, fade to white and your vision returns as you are in the bathroom ready to go to work and start the adventure of a lifetime!!!!

DUDE NO PROBLEM! Draw stuff, take a photo then transfer it onto your computer. Get working, draw guns and stuff, ask scarecrow actually.

You know what'd be cool? A Predator mod.

You're Ahnuld, stuck in the jungle with your teammates, and the Predator stalks you and your team's every move. It'd be real-time, day to night, and in the daytime, you're a little safer, but night... your teammates can get killed, you can protect them, kill them for thier ammo... and have to hunt for food and drink water to survive. There's military rations... but they'll run out... so you'll have to resort to hunting... like the Predator.

Not sure how you beat the game though.

Just a suggestion, because hearing Arnold's voice in the game would make me laugh my a** off.

When we getting started on this mod them im SO EXCITED. Btw i'm gonna put giant sloths in my map lol and they can attack the players lol and they only die if you spawn a charmander and make it evolve to a charizard then set it on fire lol and it dies and gives you a fire blanket. I need help making that, any ideas?
