who will be the "major" enemy?combine or Xen aliens?

and the combine want to survive like the normal humans right?

cuz there few videos were freeman fight against aliens
almost all are fighting against the combine forces

so maybe the combines are the "major" (I think)

The way I see it is, the combine are gordons arch nemsis this time round, and the human race has stopped fighting back, the world has become infested with other more primitive races such as headcrabs and antlions that behave more like animals or insects, seeing gordon and the combine simply as more lunch.

I think we have no way of knowing (and if you leak players have some hints, please keep them entirely to yourselves) if the combine are the really big bads. There are obviously enemies in this game that are enemies of both you AND the combine (the bugs), and really, we don't know much about why the world is the way it is, or why even the citadel starts eating the city like in that E3 video.

I think that the combine will play a big role, but not the largest. There are tons of secret aliens that haven't been given away yet.

I think that they are more important, and that's why they are staying secret.

I think there was an accident when they tried to open a portal to xen world when they were after the "slaves" to help them fight against the combine. (remember the lady talking on elevator at the video..)

as for combine not fighting alongside the striders, striders don't need any reinforcements, and to further back that up, in the trailer, there's the combine, with their barrier, and behind it the strider strolling, not opening fire on the combine, or yourself

I would put money on striders being on the alien side, not the combine. The way I see it the combine are equal to the marines in HL1. The combine also seem to carry only conventional weaponry.

I believe the combine are just the agents of the police state. My question is what events caused the police state to form in the first place.

The Striders ARE on the Combine side. You can see them patrolling with the Combine soldiers in some vids, and they have the Combine symbol on their backs.
