Well I spent a while in there and it's a mess. You got Extremists arguing left and right and Bush this and Bush that. We are soooo lucky we got good moderators here.

One time I was arguing an anti-war POV and the other kid was saying how we should kill all Iraqis...not just the soldiers or terrorists but the women and children too. At that point I let him know he was the biggest moron ever and would serve the world better if he were dead.

Those majorly public chat forums (Y!, MSN, etc.) are prone to that sort of rot. I checked out a message board once about a particularly hot issue (catholics and little boys, I believe) and there were literally like 4000 posts, all of which were flames. The topic had degenerated after the fifth post, but people managed to carry on that torch for quite some time. I think the only reason they might stop is because the server will kill the forum.
