Very good. Shut up, tit.

Yeah, that happened to me with Halo and my system is more than capable of running it well. I have to turn it all down to low and its still crap in single player. Sorry, no idea.

I agree pes...

a) i was joking about hence the :D and my attempt to help out after, it was not malicious in the slightest.
b) i don't like strangers with 2 posts waltzing in here calling me a tit, you're a moron...stop stealing my air.
c) Your mum :)

Now i shall eagerly anticipate the reply from the thread maker on his computer specs, rather than talk about some game called Halo...whats that again?

Which Halo forum do you go to? I need to put some propaganda there.

Specs needed.

specs arent needed, i have more than enough, it has nothing to do with the specs....

We'll judge the "more than enoough", thank you :)

Actually specs are needed, how do you think we can help you out if we don't know what you're running.

pentium 4, 2.0 GHZ, 512 mb RAM, radeon 9600 pro....direct x 9.....

This is a long shot but I had the same problem a while back so here goes. Have you been messing around with hardware or the BIOS? What happened to me was that I had reset my CMOS and forgot to change my memory frequency back from 100MHz to 200MHz.

Like I say, it’s a long shot but what the hell, we might get lucky.

i got a message saying i was low on virtual system memory or something, but i got alot of free space on my hard drive........

Lol, Windows doesn't eat up all the available disk space for virtual memory, the amount is specified... somewhere in that really big OS :/

Anyways, is AA (Anti-Aliasing) or Filtering on? Stuff like that can really eat away at your FPS. Also, at what resolution do you play?

And did you download all the patches for all your stuff again once you re-formatted?

everything is on the lowest setting and AA and all the other stuff is off....this is getting aggrivating..........

omfg i have 200hz cpu i no it is gewd enuff lololol

See. How come when Glenn here makes jokes like that, people back him up, but when I make a joke like that, i'm immediatly called a dick?

Oh and I would say that your system is not capable of running the game smoothly. Sure you might be able to RUN it, but you're definetly going to get a ton of stutters every now and then.

then why would i be able to run it perfectly before, with LESS space on my pc than i do now?

Tyguy, I think virtual memory is RAM. Please, go ahead and flame me like the noob I am if I'm wrong.

Physical memory is RAM, virtual includes some hard drive space reserved by the OS. But perhaps you should try uninstalling and re-installing the drivers, starting from the chipset, then your video card, etc. Perhaps something got out of line. And I hope you're not doing something like using onboard video by accident :)

Also go into the control panel and make sure there aren't any "question marks" in the device manager. Maybe you just forgot some drivers.

First: I´m NOT a genious

but eventhough I´ll give it a shot;)...o yeah, I´m dutch, so you might not be able to understand what I´m tryin to say:)
Okay, let´s try:

Desktop, right-click, settings, settings again(?), advanced, solve problem.
It looks like this

Hope it helps:) , goodluck

Ok.

So since you have a new install of windows running...

What you need to do is head on over to www.tweakguides.com and check out the XPTC.

After you're done going through that (it has virtual memory tweaks to so don't worry about that) tell us how it's going.
