For the first.... 3 months after it came out, I played it every day. Now, I play it when I need some stress relief or to show it to friends. For stress relief, I normally play through the City 17 chapters, or the Super Grav Gun section. And the show friends, I show them the levels that are available on the demo i.e. the opening section, then Ravenholm.

So... in short. I was addicted, not so much anymore.

Not at all. Played through it enough. It's a great game...just not that addicting.

It got boring after I did everything. I even broke a combine's pathing, and he didn't go up to the garbage can, and say "Pick it up and throw it in the garbage" (Pop can)

I am addicted to HL2. but not extremely.

I love playing it. 2nd time round on the single player game at the moment, and play CS about 2-3 times a week.

It's the only single-player FPS I keep going back to, of late I've tried Lego Star Wars, the latest MOH:AA game, Doom 3 and it's add-on and Pariah. None of them stayed on my PC for more than a couple of days, and I never completed ay of them - just kept going back to HL2.

Right now I'm desperately waiting for Fileplanet to re-open the FEAR beta - that'll probably be the only thing the tears me away from HL2 for a while. Although having seen the Prey E3 video, that might do as well.

I played through it twice, used to rape CS then raped CS:S. But now I play nothing but World of Warcraft....gotta get the Might set NO! the Wrath set!!!
bah damn rpgs are too adictive, but HL2 is not really an addictive game its more of a WOW, amazing first expereince, then a second time ooh I missed that detail the first time

Not actually addicted to the game, but a 100% addicted to everything that surrounds it (Mods, Forums, Programs, Aimbots...). I love it.

That Half-Life 2 is off my Hard Drive is indicative of one of two things:
a) that Half-Life 2 didn't have a hold on me at all, and I needed the disk space
b) that Half-Life 2 had such a hold on me, that I had to take it off my hard drive for my health.

It's probably the later.

I'm addicted, in fact I got a feeding tube put in so I wouldn't have to get up to feed.

I also tape my eyes open so I can play at all hours of the night without falling asleep.

Was addicted to it when i first got it, but after completing it i didn't really want to go back and back through it all again, i just play some chapters when i feel like it.

I was more addicted to HL1 than HL2, you could let your imagination run wild, but many questions have already been answered in HL2. I was really hoping to find out more about the Gman, he is the main reason I bought the game.

Anything Half-Life 2 i will buy preorder and pickup ASAP. I have played all hl2 games countless times.

But 1 game that can make me step away from HL is Deus Ex.
