Whos scratched out in that pic?!!!!

Beggining of the game when u meet up with alyx and whatshisname scientist and he opens the room to the teleporter by fixing the pic on the wall. If u look at the picture closely it is the scientist team from black mesa. Gordons in it with blackguy scientist and the other ones from the first game. But in the front row there is a person with their face scratched out and a red dash through it. Who is this guy? btw half-life ****ing rules

I thought it might be, and I know that hotass Alyx says how dr breen is from the first game, but I dont remember him at all. Can anyone tell me where he is in the first game, i want to go find him. Thanks (sorry this question relates to Half-Life 1 on a Half-Life 2 forum)

Hes your director, you dont actually see him ingame (hl1) though i believe you come across his office near the beginning, when the guy runs away and gets eaten by a barnacle....I think.
