I am using my brothers 1.7p4 radeon 9600 AIW. 768mb SDRAM.

I got at least 60 with my Geforce 4 mx 440 with those same specs.. What is up with this?. I even turned all the settings on low and I get bad FPS.

Where do I check what drivers I am using right now? I know I just installed new ones from ATI.com so that cant be it.

Because God hates you.

So you're using the latest ATI drivers? Seriously that is weird. I've heard that BF1942 is heavily dependent on RAM. Maybe it has something to do with the SDRAM? I don't know. I'm probably wrong.

Damnit I am done with ATI. I have had nothing but trouble with these cards. and people saod the MX cards were bad..

Rofl. That's odd it musta ran like my old GeForce 2 MX200/400, lol!

Sick of ATi? Why don't you learn to set up your computer properly instead of blaming a card that millions of people use without any problems.

You are seriously bottlenecking that card with your 1.7 P4 processor, not the card's fault.

letting ya know, i have a 9600 pro oc'd to 500 mhz (memory - 328 mhz)
with 768 mb ram and p4 2.8 HT, and i have ALL THE SETTINGS TO MAX. with 1152x890 somthing. with FULL 16x trilinear filterting, and 6x antialiasing.. and it could not any smoother people. so, compare yours with mine, and figure what you need.. probably the old ram or the low cpu cause of all the people inside one little area. (like 64 people).

actually, its does stutter a bit whenever its loading the aarea into memory.

Reduce the sound quality. Sounds stupid? Well it is but it worked for me. And I'm not making fun of you, just try it. I still don't understand how it works. (Specs: Celeron 1.8,256RAM,gf4mx440 - the game had very bad framerte, changed the sound quality - everything perfect)

10 bucks says this guy is using AA with that 9600. Listen dude, dont blame ATi, they just release good cards and drivers. Setting up the cards settings will help big time, plus, BF1942 is VERY cpu limited due to its huge sized maps, and that 1.7ghz cpu aint helping. I suggest upgrading your processor before anything....

That works because if your soundcard that doesn't have it's own sound processing unit, the CPU has to take that load. If you reduce the sound quality, you reduce the load on your CPU so that it can be used for other things.

bf 1942 doesnt have an AA/AF option. I am pretty sure it is off though.
