Why are DB jokes funny?

If you don't know what DB stands for you probably don't want to know. It means dead baby....yes, Dead babie jokes. They are sick, twisted and often perverted. But why do we laugh at such things? Is it TV is it the media or is it the fact that you just can't control your devil inside you?

Personally I never heard of a Dead Baby Joke. As far as I knew DB stood for Dragon Ball Z, or an alien in Phantasy Star online;"Delsaber" or his shield, sword or weapon

That has to be one of the worst jokes I have heard in my life.
I couldn't classify it as a joke even.

Are there funny DB jokes? tell me one, cuz I'm not giving up my soul to click a link.

Are these DB jokes supposed to be funny or just stupid?

I don't think I have ever heard a JOKE that could make me upset.

The ones controlled by the media and follow the crowd
The ones who say everyone else is controlled by the media but are following a different crowd Eg goths

I find them hilarious. I don't know anything about the psychology of comedy, but personally I would say it's healthier to laugh at these jokes than it is to be offended by them. I know who'd make more interesting company, anyway.

Dead baby jokes don't have any inherent humor in them. It's the deranged people who like them. Yes, you are deranged if you like them.

I agree 100%

People are so Americanized now adays... censurship is bad, M'kay? People should be able to say whatever they'd like.... within boundries ofcourse (EDIT: by boundries i mean slandering of a invidual etc...). If theres any media brainwashing going on, it's saying that it isent okay to make eg. DB jokes.
 
What do dead baby jokes have to do with the media exactly? I've never seen a show telling me to joke about dead babies. But perhaps that's why I don't find them very funny while everyone else is watching The Late Babies Show (pun!) and laughing.

yeah, well i can't speak for others, but in my case i mean that this 'dark humour' or 'extreme satire' we have around in the media, not specificly DB jokes.

Personally, I think If you don't find them funny, it's becuase you didn't hear a good one yet, or are uptight becuase you have something to hide concerning DB's...

The thing is, you could replace the word Dead Baby with something else. Thats not the point of the joke. The point of the joke is to poke fun at something that is "cute or loveable"

You could say, "whats the difference between a cadillac and a pile of dead cats? I don't have a cadillac in my garage. "

But using the more serious "dead baby" makes the joke all that much more Powerfull and shockingly funny.

Probably the former, and probably because none exist. You come up with a good one, and i'll let you know if I think its funny or not. I'm very open minded when it comes to humor, and its easy to make me laugh. So when things don't... they usually aren't that funny.

It does neither. It makes me want to find an actual talented comedian to make a joke. Seems everyone so far who makes baby jokes has no talent. If the fact that there is no humor in a 'good dead baby joke' makes it funny... then by golly is it funny, at least by that definition. But i'm certainly not laughing.

If the art of fine dead baby humor is stringing together a few almost incoherent words to form a sentence containing somewhere in it the words dead baby, then by golly, these people must have something!

P.S. The phrase 'by golly' is not one of my normal usage phrases.

People who are truely offended by them (as opposed to people who just don't think they're funny) should get a life. It's not like real babies are dying by telling them.

There's some that step over the line a bit (like: "What's the difference between a rock and a baby? You can't **** a rock") but I'm not offended by it.

Dead baby jokes are both the worst and the best jokes in the world.

As a joke itself, it's terrible. There is no real punchline. It's just a sick twist that's meant to be offensive and disgusting. It's really not even a joke.

But its tabboo content always brings a smile to a face because... well, it's tabboo. And while it can prompt laughter, the best reaction to a deady baby joke is one of shock and disgust. And that's why they rule.
 
Yea some are really funny, some are sick, some are not funny at all, stupid even.

There are some that are realllly really funny, I like those ones I like of course.

Im not sensitive to them and some still make me cringe, so I have a feeling this will be closed really soon.

I find alot of them funny, as they are the most basic level of comedy there is which is good for a quick laugh here and there, the sexual ones are pushing it too far i feel sometimes, but i do laugh at the ridiculously silly ones...like
How do you make a baby run faster?
Chase it with a lawnmower

(i mean thats not clever nor does it make sense cos they want walk but hey....its a quick laugh, its not meant to offend.)
 
What's big, moving, and in the corner of the room?

A pile of dead babies and one is still alive in the pile trying to get out
