China isn't a threat for sure.just like Russia we need them,they need us.There is no reason to go to war with them.I got so pissed when this one dipshit was talking China has a threat, that has to be dealt with.

I agree, nuke the living hell out of china ..whoops too bad Korea is so close to china, I guess it's a slow painful death by radiation poisoning for you ..well at least we take out North korea at the same time ..but it really is too bad for South Korea ..oh well
 
I was talking about a more conventional approach.... like blitzkreig on every province of China, tanks and infantry...
 
1.3 billion people in china, numbers ..that's a heck of a lot opportunity for collateral damage ..but so long as the government is taken out what's a few million chinese civilians? ..expendable I guess

I'm referring to all the people that think China is our huggable buddy in the east, like hooflover here.

You have finally reached the grand truth of military sciences. :p

I was being not very serious (since war with China would be rather... ungood for this planet, even though China needs to be... rectified....), however, civillians and soldiers are alike, in the fact that they are both equal human beings, and you cannot say who has more of a right to live. Today's free world is based on the concept of equality (non-economic equality, btw.), and denying it would be denying freedom. Of course, the latter poses a much less significant threat to your troops, but you know what I mean.

they have deplorable human rights and the standard of living in some parts is deplorable but they're hardly a threat to global stability ....that distinction falls upon someone else .........

in any event the US owes China billions of dollars in loans ..they're not fighting each other anytime soon

China could shut us down overnight and I believe they hate us enough to do so. Not that I blame them.
 
Countries routinely spy on other countries, including their allies. That China spies on the US is nothing noteworthy.
 
Oddly enough, most people in 1938 believed Adolf Hitler had no intent of invading his neighbors. On 9/10 2001, everyone in the United States believed the Two Towers would be there pretty much forever.

Just for perspective.
 
Um, much of China's current military programs are based around fighting the US, and they are actively building up to close the technology gap. Presently the USA may share a symbiotic relationship with China, but there's enough of a difference in ideology that a future conflict is only really a matter of time.

Besides, if Fallout says that we go to war with china, than dammit, thats how its gonna go down.
 
war between US and China would be virtually impossible. They're financially dependant on each other, so war with each other -> slitting their own throat.
World wars are a thing of the past, now we've gone into phase 2 of disgusting wars:
Guerilla warfare. All ways to avoid being blamed, to avoid getting financial troubles, or your nation financially broke/ruined. You can simply sponsor certain groups, and keep the whole flow going nicely without any consequences, or international disgust from the UN since... who's there to blame? (just say you know of nothing and there's no direct trace). A nice way to bypass international law, and target civies etc. Its an awesome way of screwing your opponent :)
Hmm, i should go on PR-tours promoting 4th generation warfare as something all nations should start using to "solve" their problems. It only has pro's, and the only con is that it takes some time :)
 
Yeah, with your average person more educated than they ever were before (i.e. they're smart enough to know that in any war, they'd be the cannon fodder), and the mass media information age, wars have changed.

That's not to say there's not going to be any more Hitlers in the future.
