I have a headcrab gnawing at my brain, Why would any software company endorse a particular piece of hardware in the current state of graphics?
aside for the Obivou$$$$ reasons. I mean currently graphics cards are aging out about every 6 months, while a quality high end game takes 18-24 months from end to end. the only thing you can do speculate about what the HW guys will have out by the time you ship. In the past 10 years it has been a bloody battle back and forth on the hardware side, I would hate to choose sides early on, only to find myself on the short side when all is said and done.
Would it not be best just to stay out of it entirely, take the high road and not alienate any one group of HW users?
