Why exactly did ATI stop giving HL2 vouchers to ATI Radeon 9600XTs?

That was announced a long time ago. No real reason was given, but I suspect they were running out of vouchers.

It was never planned to be on every 9600XT and for as long as they are sold.
It was a temporary deal to promote their cards. ATI still offers the Voucher to their 3rd party companies who make their cards but they have to pay to include it.

I think that ppl just started to buy more 9600XTs instead of 9800XTs so they discontinued it. But maybe im wrong.
