Why is Fear not doing so good?

Just got Fear at the beginning of the week and it didn't start out too good, however, i have really begun to enjoy the game. Now the problem is, why is it so difficult to find any players on the numerous servers that are up for the game, does anyone actually play the game?

Are you talking about the mp beta? It's because not many people are fileplanet subscribers and even less people actually got into the beta

ya, the game isnt really out yet is it? If so mp betas that are closed to the public arent usually too big.

Well, they should open it to more people, what's the point of a mp beta if only 5 people can play it.

FEAR? never heard of it, besides a few times on this forum. sounds generic as it gets. i haven't even bothered to look at screenshots.

You always gotta stay in the loop of the hot games... In fact, when somebody mentions a game, I at least find a synopsis of it so I can decide for myself if its good or bad... Most people just base their own opinion off of the general public's opinion, which is sad because then its not really your opinion.

FEAR looks fantastic, the MP may be simplistic from what I hear, but they add new twists into it

If they would have done an open beta, they would have tons of people playing.... Heck there are probably more people playing SWAT4 simply because its open beta

That looks awesome. You can see far into the distance (draw-in?) I wonder if it will play as good as games like HL2.

It looks like an improved counter-strike. Speaking of which, why hasn't valve released a fully re-done counter-strike by now? are they working on one? I think they are making a big mistake by this becuase games like FEAR threaten to take thier base of players.

Swat4 looks cool too... which is "better"?
