The first three points only come into play when you're talking about illegal prostitution. With legalization comes regulation. Apart from a small outbreak or two among several people the porn industry is surprisingly clean, in terms of diseases, because they have strict regulations they have to follow. Also, "red light zones are crime havens" is like saying people that smoke pot (which happens to be safer than several legal substances, according to recent studies) are more prone to illegal activity... but a big part of that is because the act itself is illegal. If you're already breaking the law, why not take it a little bit further? The fourth point is arguable. Sex is everywhere. The media is full of it. Why? It's called "ratings." We watch it! So, obviously, we don't object to it. You may be surprised to learn this, but the place in the USA that has the most sex (New York) also happens to be one of the safest places to have sex... because, rather than ignore it and preach abstinance, they actually practice and promote safe sex. Weird, huh?john3571000 said:selling sex is illegal because
