Why me? [And my rates?]

Rightho! I have a 2mb Broadband connection.
My config is...

cl_updaterate 120
cl_cmdrate 120
rate 10000 (Default)

I've tryed every bloody setting and I keep getting up to 50 choke!!!

What can I do to stop this? :x

Play on a better server.

For me Choke is a server to server thing. A local server within 30 miles of me gave me 30 choke and 60 ping but a 40 man server in florida gives me 0 choke and 35 ping. A 64 person server in god-knows-where gives me 0 choke and 60 ping.

When I had really high rates like that I got choke too. I now use
cl_updaterate 32
cl_cmdrate 46
rate 10000

works dandy, dick around with them a bit.
