Why not use the news filters?

On the front page there are links to filter out news only regarding mods, hl2, steam etc, but all the news posts are put in the general category..

Why is this and will it be fixed?
Just curious cause sometimes it can be handy with lots of news.

It's a new system so it only applies to the latest news we've posted through it.

Munro/StarMonkey, is there any way we can set filters up for the existing news?
