is cuz I hav see a lot of banner in many USA sites that are about join the army, airforce, etc
even hav mini flash games

I know that USA is on war against iraq and the terrorism but there since a long time I see that USA hav a lot of "join the army" propaganda

so someone can give a simple explanation about this

here in my country are not propagandas like that so for me is a litle rare

Well its not really propaganda, its just that i think the amry/navy/air force are trying to get many young people to join. Mainy because it helps pay for college and could be a job for them.

And your right about there being alot of ads, especially on TV and everything.

it's better to have too many than too few. And it's hard enough to save the world from the Religion of Peace with the numbers we have, but with less? Uncle Sam needs you today.

It's not propoganda, it's an advertisement, there is a huge difference between government propoganda and a "Join the Service" ad.

Also the United States does not have conscription or compulsory military service. It is completely voluntary and those in it choose to be.

lol you think they are trying to get kids to join because it helps the them? (the kids)

Right.

We got compulsory milirary service in Sweden, so we don't need any ads. :E

The military(in any country) can do a good job at straightening out misguided teens, and giving them some direction in life. Being in the military is not about killing people, but rather defending your country, and perhaps(as it is in the states) even governmental support in monetary matters so you can better continue your life after leaving the service.

I will stress that 'joining the military' isn't about going to war. Combat roles in all branches of the military are but a few of the roles that need to be fulfilled. Just because you join the army, navy, airforce, marines, or coast guard doesn't mean you're going to be a grunt sent out to kill people. You may be a lawyer, plumber, electrical technician, mechanic, engineer, architech. Tons of jobs found in the civilian world are also found in the military world, and this is also key in improving the lives of the young people who join the military in these fields, because after their time in the service, they have all sorts of knowledge pertaining to different fields of work they might find once they are back in the civilian world.

That's my take on it anyways. I really don't care if you object to it, because you're obviously unwilling to change your perception of it, thinking only the military is bad simply for its actions called for by the government.

Right.
Yes, if your very short of money and cant afford college many people join the force to pay for it. Then they just have a 2 year requirment to serve.

LOL!!! that was knee-slapping funny

save the world from peace?

its not propoganda, just offers some good deals if you can make it, thats why the US armed forces is made up of people wanting to do the Army,Navy exc, not like drafted armies like most of the world

actually, the US is just obsessed with war.

i like michael moores idea of drafting the children of the politicians first.

Michael Moore is also a fat ass who doesnt know what the hell he's talkin about.

The sad thing is,, alot of the USA's Economy ,, and monitory flow comes from the army,, alot of people profit from it,, so there will always be people needing violence and war, or atleast the potential driving force behind it, to keep the 'buisness' flowing.. yes its sick. but its the plain and obvious truth.

I think that politicians should always be sent into combat first in times of war. Things change a little when it's your own ass on the line.

yeah lets draft his "average american" fat ass, see what he says about that. At least it would get him in shape.

in my school the navy said they give out 150k scholarships, damn

Same for England. Don't think anyone profits in your country? The UK sells some of the finest hardware in the world.

He said the "Religion of Peace". A lot of effort is undertaken by some people to "prove" that Islam is a really peaceful religion. Perhaps they should tell that to the people blowing themselves up in the name of Allah.

i Know we do .. we are just as bad in some cases.

you see the moral dilema that these idiots running our world have got us in..? they say they believe in piece, and prosperity and freedom, and the very buisness under governments that fight wars your 'Army' or 'Royal airforce'... creates them.. because of the arms industry, selling weapons to the 'enemy' at obscure times to and keep their economy and elite people in the top seats.. even if selling weapons get them 'in the shit' sometime in the future. making vaste amounts money off of killing machines is something more of a sick and twisted buisness than a fair and justified one.

theres just something not right about that 'loophole' as it is, makes me sick to my stomach.

I don't see how it's NOT propaganda. They make it look like you will be some supar soldier. (The music, the cool camera effects, the cheesy yet ominously said lines)

The army keeps bugging my older brother about joining.

I hope he doesn't :(

The Army keeps bugging him, probably because of what he said.

Army Guy: Would you like to serve?
Your Brother: Oh well, I'd like too, but I cant -- too busy!
Army Guy: Okay, well, we'll keep in touch. Have a good day!

Army Guy: Would you like to serve?
Your Brother: Oh gee, yea, that'd be fun and all, and I'd think I like it, but right now, I've got other support.
Army Guy: What if that support goes away? The armies here! ^^

Army Guy: Would you like to serve?
Your Brother: Meh, maybe not today ... some other time I guess.
Army Guy: Okay.

Army Guy: Would you like to serve?
Your Brother: I mean, like I feel sorry for the soljah's over there, and its really terrible whats going on -- I feel I should owe them something, but I dont think im going to join just yet
Army Guy: Well, we, we we really appreciate that over here. Do you got a personal cell phone number that we can use to reach you at another time?
Your Brother: Sure, I'd love to talk to the army! its [blahblahblah-blahblah,blahblah]
Army Guy: Thank you. We really appreciate your time. And were glad your signing up -- tradtionally, and later.
Your Brother: ??

Army Guy: Would you like to serve?
Your Brother: Hi! Im black!
Army Guy: [in secret: this ones a keeper]

[Extreme Sarcasm] Obviously, we celebrate our Armed Forces Propaganda with great glee. Ever night I fold my American Flag, tuck it under my pillow, and fall asleep under my Uncle Sam poster hanging over my bed. Only to prepare myself for the next morning where I can go to school, and every morning pledge my allegiance to this Nazi society of death and money. After wading through drug dealers on my bike ride home, I turn on the TV to view our Propaganda ads. My parents lecture me once every night about how important it is that our nation remains in supreme power, and that I should joined the armed forces so the "men in suits" don't show up at our door step again in the middle of the night ripping through our belongings and privacy. Just to be safe, I've decided to join up, as to save our family from "the list" that our goverment undoubtably keeps on us. Or in fear that my goverment will force me to join at gun point. I hope I am able to still go to college, because I've tried so hard. But since my skin is not white, I doubt I will be able to go. [/Extreme Sarcams]

Actually, I don't have an Uncle Sam poster above my bed. I don't fold a flag under my pillow every night. I don't pledge my allegiance to my country every morning in school. I don't see more than one army ad a week (If that.) We Americans don't talk about power every god damned minute of our lives. In fact we hardly do. I am not afraid of "men in suits" showing up at my door like we're under some Nazi-facist regime. I don't fear being forced to sign up. It probably won't happen. And red, white, or blue, my skin doesn't affed my job position. (Unless we're equally qualified, in which case the black man/ black woman/ white woman would get the job.) Have a nice ****ing day.

aye, its the same here in the UK.
nobody Forces us to sign for the army, but if they forced me to defend my country i would, wouldnt have a problem with it.
and i pretty much think the US and UK are the same.

and im sure in finland and germany and many more countrys,
you HAVE to join the military at 18.

I wouldn't blame anyone in Europe for the weapon a terrorist uses. What did we get from Europe? FN FAL's, MP5's, Galils, XM8's, 92, etc etc. Nothing terrorists use. :)

*Edit*

Woops. I meant 92. Not the 92F. That's our military version, not the Italian original. :)

It's the furry hats isn't it.

Kore, we know the Russian's have been supplying weapons to most middle-eastern countries. Did you know?

Before the six-day war, Russia was able to sell approximately 16.7 million units of AK47's, and up to including 12 billion in shared weapon costs and plans?

Did you also know? That most of the Black Market recycles its gathered sums into the Russian Government?

Did you also know? That when Desert Storm was launched, Russian Military Advisors helped Saddam coordinate defenses, and test tactics+weapons against the United States?

Did you know? The T-90MBT "Black Eagle", and the T-98, were weapons laid prototype approximately five years after the first Gulf War?

Betcha' did'nt know this -- like the United States was using Vietnam like a chess piece, the Russian's used the prelude into the six-day war like one aswell. Infact, the Russian's particularly failed at capturing Europe in the complete eye of control for Communism, so they went right to the middle-east.

There's a lot more I know. Crap the media has'nt spewed out yet. :D

actually i knew russia was involved in the vietnam war, just didnt say incase i was wrong..lol .. i wasnt too sure about it.

i ALSO know that russian scientists sold off "atomic and nuclear bombs" to people all over the world, and those people could be working for multiple terrorist organisations.
