why watching the simple life ??

I have a paper to write on globalisation and reality-show and I'm doing research on that all day long. I have seen couple videos from some episodes of the simple life. I'm wondering what's the point to watch that, there's no competition, no price to offer, no sex...why is it so popular ?

I am a sex crazed teen and I must say... you are quite correct. But the thing is, i've only seen one episode of it ;( . Although they still are hot :naughty: .

People watch the simple life because they find it interesting to see people so much better off then them(and in most cases how much less common sense) deal with normal life for most americans. It makes them feel better when they can poke fun of the more fontunate because they dont know what a wal-mart sells.
