If a game doesn't support widescreen, or an application, what happens? Can you make it "black out" the side so it's centred in the middle like movies on TV?

I think the picture will look stretched. But wait for others to confirm this.

By default I think it will stretch. But there are programs, some come with certain LCDs, that let you set the size so there are black bars (unused pixels).

sometimes you will be able to change the resolution through the launch part in the icon.

I'm not going to bother, will stick with normal monitors 4:3 or whatever. This was a good article:

Seems like loss of quality and size - which I don't want.
