Wii online sucks cock.
Adding friends is terrible, gameplay is mostly terrible, the amount of restrictions and Safety warnings about pedos is ridiculous and there is a only around 6 games with online, 1 is sport, 1 is driving, 1 is fighting, 1 is FPS, and there is like 2 others...
Seriously, forget it and buy a 360.

I just hooked up a router and got Wii online (yesterday, actually), and I sort of agree.
Wii online does not suck cock, but for now, until new games come out with multiplayer, it's not for multiplayer games, it's for downloading SNES games and NES games and the like. So far the only multiplayer game I tried is SSBB, and it takes a long ass time to get into a game, but it actually is pretty fun when you start playing.
BTW - I heard you can surf the net with the Wii - How? I want to go on HL2.net with my Wii!
Also - Since I'm so new to Wii online, I have no idea on how to get my Wii number..

You need to download the Opera browser from the Wii Shop channel. Used to be free but now it'll cost you 500 Wii Points (I think). I like using it too, it's better than the slow PS3 one, but has less flash support and, obviously, a far smaller cache and limited features. The pointer makes browsing a breeze though.

Has to be wired, as far as I know. I think some third parties have come up with a wireless solution, but don't hold me to that.

You can find out by going to the Message Board, going to Messages, and "clicking" on Phone Book. You'll find a series of numbers like in my first post, and that's your Wiicode.
