Wikipedia entries for the future....

Well I was looking at wikipedia... and I searched in the year 2012. Of course that will have entries, since it's such a popular year for doomsday cults.

Anyways... I started going ahead, and seeing what else I could find.

Two ones I tried were 2099, and 2100.

The crazy thing is... people already filled it out partially with 'hundredth year anniversaries' of certain peoples deaths... as well as expected events. The 2100 one is more bizarre, and people are predicting the future with it.

I'm curious to see how much wacky stuff I can find in these that haven't been cleaned up. You'd think wikipedia would make an effort to remove some of this ridiculous stuff, such as...

* The events of the Zero Wing video game take place.

* The Speedball team Brutal Deluxe is formed.

There's others there too... but geez.

I'm going to find out how how many of these are fleshed out.

I'm glad my computer is Y10k compliant. I can sense the panic in the public already... as people only have just under 8000(EDIT: I had it right the first time at least) years to prepare. Stock up on supplies and ammunition while you still can, and if you're lucky... your year 2000 model computers won't destroy the world.

And lets say yea, we do somehow figure out how to tear open the unvierse a new one lol...then we end up in this other universe which will most likely have COMPLETELY different laws/properties and we would simply cease to exist in that unviverse because we are THIS unverse...this universe or anything in this universe can't exist inside another one other wise what the hell is the point in having a seperate universe if they're all going to be the same?!

I won't be alive when it happens, but it'll be awesome when the human race expands enough into space that no single largescale war will wipe us out, and that we'll still have the technology to prosper in the universe.

Cause right now, we're faced with the reality that if we wage war too much all our infrastructure will be gone and we'll be crippled hundreds of years of being able to make it into space with any significant ease.

Oops... I misread something in the artcile, so I changed mine from 8000 to 7000... then when you posted, I realized I edited it improperly. I was thinking improperly the whole aspect of... say, 21st century is really the year 2000, not 2100 like most people believe. So I did it wrong.

ok but in a trillion to quadrillion years...most galaxies will vanish only leaving black holes..and even them, given enough time will decay..but thats like an ETERNITY even in the universes time...

So yea humans may or may not survive all these different catastrophies but soon enough, we'll all decay. Read up on it if you don't beleive me.

Yes... I misread one of the articles that said that millenium(I looked at a wrong wiki entry) started in the year 9000 and ended in the year 10000. So I foolishly edited my original number of 8000 to reflect 9000-2000. It was silly, but I changed it back to my original number. hehe. Simple mathematics, I just read something wrong and thought I had made a mistake.

Doom, the events of the computer game series take place in the 22nd century.

System Shock 2 is set in 2114.

Doom 3, The events at the UAC Base on Mars occur in the year 2145.
