probably not which makes me mad, cause i really don't wanna pay 20-30 bucks for an upgraded game. and just now finding out i get crap for my 50 bucks i pre-ordered with, well had pre-ordered with. steam has yet to work with me for over a month, and i've gotten no help from valve or steam admin.

Didn't Activision get the license for DoD? Therefore it will not come from Vivendi or a Retail HL2 package. You might consider DoD free if you get the package through steam with it included...but that's the only way you could consider it free. hehe

My money is on us having to pay for it, and yes Asus, Activision do have the distribution rights to DoD so any boxed version will come from them. Steam though is a different kettle of fish (as we all know already though) so I'd expect Valve to have the pay and download from Steam option as well.
