Welcome to Halflife2.Net

We aim to provide a community hub where all HL2 fans can gather to play and discuss the game. We also provide you with all the daily news, features and content you could ever want. Be sure to head over to our forums and join the largest HL2 community on the web.

Will hl2 dot net support x-box gamers in the same way when the x-box version of hl2 comes out.

I fear "this forum is being flooded by Bill Gates' childeren" threads and would like to know the official position before our console cousins arrive.

What person could buy HL2 for a console and still call him or herself a gamer? Blasphemy!

True, but then again what gamer would wait that long for the Xbox version instead of PC?

It will probably be a little X-box friendly but don't expect nearly as much support for it here as the PC version.

There won't be much extra to support, considering the games will be exactly the same. I don't see there being much extra we can do, but certainly, HL2 X-Box fans will be welcome and supported wherever possible.

Hey, guys, not everybody has the rig to play this game.. that doesnt mean they're not gamers.

Xbox is a sweet little system,. top of the line console, really. (I know it from the inside out)

Sure I'd never play HL2 on Xbox, but I cant fault those that do

I bet that if the X-box version has exclusive content like the PS2 version did, and the dreamcast version was going to, a good many people would travel down X-box lane. :p

I will support the xbox community too. We all have a right to get supported even though we are not a part of the same gaming religion. I respect both groups :D

I will even respect people that play HL2 on the mobile phone. (Splinter cell was released on mobilephones, so maybe HL2 will too.) Can you imagine physics on Java ? :p

yeah, we'll have articles and whatnot about the xbox version, if people write them.

There probably won't be any need for articles - people seem to think that there's going to be a considerable difference between the PC and X-Box version. There won't be, they'll be exactly the same minus the fact you use a massive controller instead of mouse and keyboard.

Since when is the XBox controller massive? They have the "S" controller now that's much smaller.

Plus, even with the original controller, a keyboard and mouse is far larger

You don't hold the keyboard in your hands ;)

in all seriousness Mecha i think the PC fans deserve exclusive content more than any of the console fans do.
call me a PC fanboy if anyone wants, but the truth is if HL didn't have the success it did with the PC fans, i highly doubt it would have made it to console.

i hope Valve are reading this :|
