Will HL2.net eventually become HL3.net?

I'm just curious. I love HL2.net and it would be a shame to see it die or whatever due to HL2 aging and becoming an old game.

Half the reason for a site like this is so people can speculate and such about the said game. Now that we have the game, the site might be loosing its appeal to people other than long-time members and this will continue until their are NO new members.

I'm not saying HL2.net is old or anything, only that it will not attract as many people if the site is not based on the latest and greatest game.

So HL2.net will eventually become HL3.net right? Years later right?

Me too.. thus my point. Half-Life 2 is old to me. I've talked and speculated at just about EVERYTHING to do with the damn game. Now I just come for the Off-topicish forums and sooner or later thats what everyone will do.

I'd hate to leave because the site has so many great members and mods. Does this make me a troll or something?

I heard something about Munro being in negotiation with Vivendi to get the HalfLife3.net domain but that could just be something my overly optimistic head made up.

I doubt you'll get a proper confirmation or denial on that, but people can say what they want about Munro, he is doing what he can to sort a decent url, last i saw anyways.

It'll be pretty cool I reckon, changing to a new one, hope we keep the forum though, be silly to start from scratch again. A new design would be neat too. Maybe like something I was working on months ago *pokes hotsoup to back him up on that design being a good idea hehe*

So valve couldnt push you out in future and you wouldnt need to keep changing names every few years.

LOL! I told you Chris, I only did that twice, the other five times was just Zerimski messing around.. honestly hehe

Ohh yeah the alyx santa costume.. Yeah, it was ok I just really really began to hate how her face had turned out. Felt it wasn't good enough to appear on the front page since a lot of people would see it and there's a lot out there who appear to have fallen in love with the character so I shudder to think of all the criticism coming from them cause she's not 100% faithful to the original hehe.

I might do a mossman in gothic santa outfit for next christmas though haha.

How good relations do you got with Valve? There're a lot of signs indicating that you are quite close. (You on php, you got "raising the bar" before its release etc.)
