i was wondering if i should buy half life2 iam not sure if my computer will be able to take it, heres my dxdiag and if it wont work about how much $$$ will i need to upgrade it to work??

The only thing here you need to change to fully enjoy Half-Life 2 is a new graphics card. Your system specs are almost the same as mine except I have a Radeon 9800 graphics card. You can actually buy the Radeon 9800 Pro (better than mine) now for $180 / £120.

sry to burst ur bubble but u can only get a pci card the 9600 and 9800 are agp so i hope u havent bought it already

^yup, this is true and unfortunate.

You'd need a new motherboard too, and it would need to support the same kind of ram you have now otherwise you'd need to buy new ram. Same goes for processor. Fortunatley you'l have a few extra components lying around to sell in that case.

Preety extreme upgrade though.
