Will the game work if I have to reinstall it?

I'm asking because I may have to uninstall the game and reinstall it because something is not working right with it, and I thought it would be best to just do a fresh install. Let me know. Thanks!

vsaravia - Yes, you can uninstall and reinstall as many times as you like. In fact, this is one of the things steam is good for. If you have used the cd/DVD version, try re-installing steam and downloading the content from the steam servers (Go into 'play games' in steam after you reinstall it and right click Half life 2 and select 'download and install')

Either way, you can download and install as often as you like

Well, I'm working on doing it right now, but it installs Steam before it installs HL2. Should I uninstall Steam after everything downloads, and then re-download it again from the web site you were telling me about? Thanks.
