Will there be cd-keys for all official mods?

Will we need different cd-keys for CS:source and DOD:source? Aren't the mods still for free or not? Why don't we just buy Halflife 2 and download the mods. :rolling:

I cant see the big thing with cd-keys anymore. Steam handles your account fine - why would you need a cd key.

Reading the gamespot hl2 article thing, it said that ever game that they sell retail (the ones that Vivendi put out) Valve only gets 7$ per copy (or close to that). The ones they sell via steam, they dont have to pay Vivendi, so they get 100% of the money.

So yes they get more if you buy it off steam, thats one of the reasons I did it. :thumbs:

They don't get 100%, they get about $30 per copy. It was in the gamespot article, lol.

Well CS:S is kinda free since it comes with HL2.
