I just finished Voyager...I have seen most of the movies in the past years.I have also seen Enterprise.
I don't really care about the new movie because it plays in the past....I wish they would make a new series set after Voyager, has anyone heard anything?

Not heard of anything, but don't worry, eventually they will make something else

I hope they let the series die already.

If they do they're going to have to wait for a while. Let the old ones cool and really take a step back and look at what they want to do with the next one.

I only really liked First Contact.

Which was awesome.

If there is, their only hope is to get Ronald D Moore on the writing staff. Otherwise it'll be lame and lazy Voyager or too stupid and contradictory Enterprise. Give me some of that Deep Space Nine-style writin' please!

If they do, I hope it isn't ****ed up. Seriesly, I thought the new series's were lame. Its the same with Doctor who. Look at the Borg. They're sopposed to be extremly advanced aliens that assimalate and stuff. They only appeared 4 times in the serieses. Now they appear, like, every other epsiode. Never-the-less, the earlies were fantastic.

Voyager took away their teeth completely. This is why they need Ronald D Moore!!!

eejits star trek was by far the best sci-fi series ever on tv ..i cant believe the people who say it's "gay" are also the same people who like firefly ...no taste whatsoever ..next you'll say Star wars was the best sci-fi movie like since forev3r!!111

I like Luke Skywalker cuz I'm unsophisticated and bland*

I heard rumors about another movie, but that's it so far.

I grew up on Next Generation and Voyager. Great stuff.

Enterprise and most of the movies sucked.

J.J Abrams and Damon Lindelof (Lost) are doing the movie or something?

That's (Unfortunately) what I heard too. I guess the movie is about young Kirk and Spock, which is sure not to be interesting to anyone.

Not to turn this into a Firefly thread (back Browncoats! back I say!), but I actually like the old Star Treks and Firefly for the same reasons. While the social themes of the show are almost opposite, the strong focus on characters lets you overlook the all the rough around the edges bits in both of these series. Because of this they're both almost infinitely rewatchable, which is good because neither had a very long run.

They're making a new TOS movie.

As for a series, I dunno, it seems rather overdone. Ever since I've got cable I've been watching The Next Generation and Voyager on spike. Deep Space Nine and Enterprise were both awful. DSN completley redid the whole star trek ideal, and turned the whole thing into boring dialouge and drab, brown ships. Enterprise tried to "modernize" the whole bit and ended up making a terrible show.

If they ever do another series, I'd prefer to see it in the next generation timeframe.
