will this laptop run ok?

ok, i have a personal computer , and my dad is getting a new comp. and hes leaving his old laptop home, i wanted to know if i could lan with it and also run at a decent fps and resolution, here are the specs:
intel pentium III @ 1.5 ghz
512 Ram
nvidia gforce2 go

im very skeptical about it but will it run decently, and another thing, i have an old 5200 form my computer that i just took out for a new one, i am aware that i cannot put this 5200 in, but can i get one in laptop form, ordo i gotta replace teh whole mobo again or somehting? ty

The only thing you can upgrade in a laptop is the RAM. That means your video card and processor cannot be removed or upgraded.

As for HL2 peformance, it should be somewhat playable. Expect it to run at low resolutions with no eye candy what so ever.

For the best playable experience, play HL2 on a desktop. Even with a 5200, it will look amazing when compared to your laptop.
