Hmmmm, some people seem to be blind these days. I can pritty much say CS: Source will not come with the mapping tools. But actually look what Valve are doing, think about all the people who want to play CS: Source (The Full Game)? If you knew you could buy it online and get it 1/4 weeks early you definatly would. Vivendi will continue to lose sales (DRASTIC SALES!) until they decide to release the boxed version. Its very cleaver by Valve and it obviasly will not be liked by Vivendi at all, think about how much money they will lose out because of steam, especially when Valve pull such a stunt to pull is massive steam sales.
As you can see thats my speculation. It seems pritty dam obviase that its already happening. Vinendi may have already **** them self and decided to get HL2 out asap, or they may kill Valve and fight back by waiting the whole 6 months. Its an argument going on between two major corporations and they seem to what to do anything they can to gain the advantage.
This brings me back to my question. Will You Be Pr-Ordering HL2 From Steam To Get CS: Source Early?
NOTE: Steam sales will kill Vinendi's profit by a lot. Normally publishers take over 50/70% of the profit made on a game. If you buy from Steam Valve make about $40/£25 out of the $50/£30
