a 8800gtx perform well coupled with an X2 4600+?

ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe
amd x2 4600+
2gb Corsair xms pc 800
Ultra 700watt PSU
SB audigy 2 plat
radeon x1950 pro (256mb)

This review shows the 8800GTX with a few different AMD CPUs and then also a 1900XTX on those same CPUs. Should answer your question.

This one is with Intel CPUs.

Nah, I'm not a bragger. I dont have a small penis, so i guess i dont have to brag, haha. I needed to know if it'd be worth spending the money or did i have to upgrade to at least a 6000+ to get the full power out of these cards. 4600+ still lives according the the charts ASUS posted :cheers:

ANYWAYS, I just went with the EVGA 8800gts 640mb. Newegg has a 30 dollar mail in rebate and it comes with quake wars all for 384 dollars. Can't really beat that. Now the only question is do i want to upgrade to vista? :rolling: I really ****in hate it. my girlfriend has home premium on her new laptop. what a piece of shit. </endrant>
