I disabled fastwrites and switched from AGP 8x to 4x and now Windows crashes at the loading screen (where the blue bars show up...). I can use safemode and uninstall the drivers and then load up windows in "normal" mode, but as soon as I install any drivers windows crashes at startup.

My stats...

X800 PRO (16 pipes)
2500@3200+ Barton
Epox 8RDA3G (nForce 2 Ultra)
1 GB TwinMos DDR400 PC3200
Windows XP Pro with SP2.

CPU, GPU and Northbridge watercooled.

I've tried the latest omega drivers and the 5.01 and 4.12 catalysts.

Any suggestions?

get http://www.memtest86.com/ it might be faulty memory, might not be. the program is still worth having.
computers are fun arent they?
i hate to say this, but a windows re-installation should fix it (without formatting)
i cant think of anything else for now, hopefully someone else will. but if i get another idea il let u no

well if it happend when u turned fast write off and set it down to AGP 4x (dont know why u would do that)...just reenable it.
