Greetings all,

Was over a friends house the other day and he had a cool splash screen that I wanted to have on mine. It was "WinXP LAN Edition" with 2 PC's hooked up. Looked pretty cool. I know this has been out for several years now, but it's still fun to mix things up every so often.

First off, you'll need to go to http://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/ & download a program called "BootSkin" The download link will be at the bottom of the page if you click on the above link. The file size for the program is small. Only 888kb. After installing the program it'll give you a selection of Bootup screens to choose from. You can also download or make your own. It's really very easy. You can also go over to http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=32 & it'll take you to the download section that will enable you download several pages worth of different pre-made screens.

While this program does not really do anything for your PC as far as performance wise, it will enable you to have different bootup screens. Just for fun really.

Enjoy!
