Just a quick note/question/spotting. When viewing this I noticed the disclaimer that reads "*Disclaimer: Once the x64 Edition is installed on your system, you WILL NOT be able to switch back to your previous 32-bit version."

This is really odd, and I was wondering what it really means. I'm pretty sure it just means you can't dual-boot your system with it.

Well, it won't majorly concern me till I upgrade next...

It means that you have a license for Windows XP now. If you choose to take advantage of their exhange program you will exchange your Windows XP license for a Windows XP 64Bit license. Now you don't have Windows XP but Windows XP 64bit. You can't go back to Windows XP. Pretty simple.

But you can always dl the beta for free. =p
Also from what I have read, the exchange program is only available for those with an OEM version of Windows XP.

so you think that's a newegg specific thing and not related to the windows 64 edition as a whole?

It's a MS thing. What do you speak of?

so you're saying that the switch xp for 64 is not a newegg specific deal and that other stores have the same deal?

Aye, it's a MS deal. You cannot keep your Windows XP OEM license and get a Windows XP 64bit License for free. It's a trade.

That wouldn't be that bad of a deal if the 64 one is the full edition.
