Windows cannot check for updates!!!

I have windows Vista 32bit and i just started to get these messages.

Windows cannot check for updates

There is something going on, and yes you should be concerned. I'm not believe what completly is going on, but the first thing you should do is disable any firewals / anti virus's that are running. This can sometimes block windows update and hence cause errors like the one you describe.
