OMFG, THIS IS DRIVING ME ****ING NUTS.

I uninstalled the logitech setpoint drivers that I was using for my G5, because they were hogging so much ram, and now I can't find a decent speed setting in the windows mouse settings shits.

The options are spaced too much. It's either too slow, or too fast.

Are there any sort of third party mouse drivers that I can install or something? I can probably get used to the "too fast" option no problem, but without the drivers, I can't use the "+" and "-" buttons as cruise buttons :(

my set point driver takes only 6 megs of ram. but no, havent seen any 3rd party drivers for them

I just stick with the XP default drivers and get used to the settings.

SetPoint for the lose, IMO, I'll take any alternative, really.

Windows default; 400dpi
get used to the setting in about a week

no you should always, always use the highest dpi. Leave the windows mouse speed at default, then just adjust the game's speed according to taste.

Something that might help, install software for the mx510 (mouseware 9.81).

whats the point of having a G5 if your only going to use it at 400dpi? the shape of it?
