Please can someone help me with this annoying problem, recently Vista keeps alerting me that Kaspersky is turned off, when infact it is not and is working properly. I tell Vista to turn it on, but of course it can't because it's already running, so it keep on complaining at me again and again. This wouldn't be a problem except that whenever a play games it keeps kicking me off them to alert me about it. Anyone have any ideas why Vista not registering Kaspersky as turned on?

Is it fully up to date?
Have you tried to reinstall?

Yep, both Vista and Kaspersky are fully updated. I really want to avoid doing a reinstall of Vista if possible it took ages just to finally get it to work properly.

Just change the option to "I'll manage my own kthxbai" in the Windows Security Center.

^^That. Or another way you can stop the Security Centre from running altogether is by going to Start > Run > type 'services.msc' and switching it off. I find it to be a useless bit of nannyware myself.

Yeah, thanks for that. I decided to do like Laivasse said and disabled the service.

Security Center serves no other purpose than to annoy you. Disable it like Laivasse suggested.
