windows server 2003

This is my cheapest option for building my next system, so ... will 2003 play HL2 and would you expect "XP/2000" nvidia drivers to work just as good as on XP?

Uh I wouldn't do that. Well it's just as the name implies thats the server edition, and thus so is kinda orientated purley for that reason.

in canada its still 150 fro a home upgrade and 300 for the full version.
dont even get me started on pro

I guess it should run, as 2003 server is essentially xp pro with server orientated extras. The nvidia drivers definately DO work. I'm currently playing wh40k:dow on 2003 and it runs fine. hth.
