Today I noticed that the only DVD drive shown in My Computer is the virtual one, created by Deamon Tools. My physical DVD drive is not there, even though I haven't messed with any related settings recently. Everything was working fine a few days ago, when I last had to use my DVD drive.

Looks like it's a software problem, cause the drive shows up in BIOS and is detected by Windows installed on my other HDD (plugged into the same PC, I just set it temporarily as "master").

I've no idea how to make my current Windows detect the drive again - I've tried running the hardware detection wizard (or whatever the name is) and it found no "new" hardware.

Any help will be appreciated. :)

Nvm, the secondary IDE channel was turned off for some reason. Now it works.
