The game loads and the audio starts but after that it crashes to desktop. Not sure how to inform the Valve guys of this beta bug so I thought I would post it here.

Anyone find a fix for this?

I have the same problem with Vista 32bit. I hear the valve intro playing but no video. Screen flickers and black, about 15 seconds pass and it crashes :(

Using the latest nvidia drivers (even tried the beta drivers) and nothing.

Yep..same problem. Vista 64. Im talking to people in IRC who are having the same problem but on XP.

Tried changing vid card drivers to the newest...no dice.

Using an 8800 GTS.

I'm using Vista 32-bit with a 8800GTX and the latest 162.22 forceware drivers - and I get this problem also :(

As soon as there is a lead, post it! :)

The game does run in windowed mode. Add -window to your target line of your TF2 shortcut (note that a shortcut must be created).

Its a pseudo fix for the time being.

Im Running Vista x64 ,Q6660 Quad, Striker Extreme Mobo , 700w PSU ,4gigs OCZ 6400 800mhz ram ,XFX 8800 Ultra Razer tarantula USB Keyboard , Razer Diamond back usb mouse , X-raptor 10000rpm HD , With Absolutely NO Problems at all...I have logged atleast 3 hours straight on servers and it is BOSS...Mabey Something wrong with your set up ..Im running mine stock...I suspect the people having problems are having memory leak issues and changing timmings and OC back to stock wouldnt hurt...!

This does this to me, but I'm running Windows Media Center. I've got an 8800GTS, E6600, and 2gb of ram.

I had the same problem.

Try adding -dxlevel 80 in the set launch options. This was the only way I could get it to play. I then restarted and removed the command and the game was runing fine again.
