Windows XP and hardware

when i have my pc all hooked up and turn it on, do i install all the hard ware before winXP or visa versa?
would just like to know what to do when i get it.

Have all your hardware assembled and connected that is inside your PC. Install Windows XP. Then Install hardware drivers from websites or CDs. Then install the rest of your programs and also peripherals like joystick or digital camera etc.
