What - In the UK or something?

I've had SP3 on both my PC's for weeks, if not almost a month

??

Aw, I cant get it through the update service :(

What are the big new things in SP3?

Oh boy, another update to dodge.

Service Packs tend to **** everything up somehow.

Stop warezing your Operating Systems.

By f*ck everything up, I mean SPs usually do something that causes some of my games and third party programs that Microsoft didn't make to stop working or become erroneous. :(

But I'm sure they've learned from their mistakes.

this will revert any custom icons and shit like that, but uxthemes.dll (or whatever) is about the only thing to worry about (if you have a hacked one to allow unsigned themes.)

any protected system files will be repaired, basically

Actually, I had installed something and ****ed up themes to where I couldn't change anything, so I just re-installed SP3 and it fixed it. (I got the stand alone exe from a torrent a while back)

so it could be helpful.

As for the changes in this SP, I didn't notice but maybe one thing that's a little better, but I don't remember what it was - something subtle with explorer maybe. The patch is mostly security stuff.

This totally screwed over my PC, i think. No sound, internet or anything. Creative sound drivers seem to be completely incompatible with the update and you can't do a system restore that removes the windows update, so i'm stuck with nothing for the next few days.

uninstall the service pack then. the service pack couldn't have ruined all of that, it had to be something you did incorrectly.

Because it's so hard to install a service pack :upstare:

Heh, sure thing. I turn off my pc when i go to sleep and it auto-installs the service pack. I log on the next day and my internet and sound don't work. Unless some weird shit is going on, i didn't touch the PC since the service pack installed, and therefore i can't have done anything incorrectly, considering that before the update everything was working fine.

How do you uninstall the service pack though?
