Just saw first scene. Grenade blows up right next to his foot...next scene, scars on his ear, and can't walk right because of inner ear problems. not leg problems....anyone else see this horrible excuse for a ww2 movie.

Lol, a grenade blowing up right next to your foot causes ear problems?

As if you'd have an ear left.

rofl i know. so far the movie sucks, and is historically inaccurate to the greatest extent

God-awful actors, cheese-ball directing, goofy dialogue, pretentious moralisation of war... the only good thing about this movie were the visuals.

Same here. Speaking of Steven Spielburg related movies, I really like the mini-series: Band of Brothers, once, it was one Global every sunday night, and me and my dad would watch it together. Also had great music.
I could've sweared that MOHAA: SpearHead stole it's intro.

Yeah that too.

About windtalkers, I must agree it wasn't a very good movie... But what really pisses me off was that the whole plot wasn't about what the name suggests. Being Native American and Navajo "Dinè” and watching this just made me mad, first of all the code talker who is paired with nicolas cage is not even Navajo, and spoke many of the words wrong. To think that not one of the quarter of a million Navajos that are on the reservation alone wouldn’t notice this?

I remember when this came out it was the same time when scooby-doo came out and here in Phoenix, Arizona they dared the put scooby-doo in the big 300 seat theater and wind talkers in the smaller one… I could not even sit next to my dad who I went with since it was so crowded! Both movies started within 10 minutes of each other (if my memory serves me right)… All I can say is that it looked like I was back on the reservation when I was at the concession stand. All this was, was another blow it up movie, and nothing more. To say the least, I was very disappointed!

Amen to that. FYI, the music was composed by Micheal Kamen, who also scored "October Sky".

Aye, Windtalkers was very disappointing, but Band Of Brother of course, was great.

My brother said it was a great movie, better then Black Hawk Down & BOB.

*Badger raises hand with shame on his face

luckily my enjoyment of it was enhanced by beer, and a ultra-critical mate :P was funny

I missed the movie, cuz some huge guy sat infront of me with a nazi tatoo on his schoulder blade. So I didnt bother him to sit a bit lower. Wich resulted in that I couldnt see a thing, and I fell asleep.

Thats when you leave and try to sneak into another room where another movie is being played.

Or move one seat to the right or left.........

In my personal opinion Nicholas Cage is really not that great of an actor. I know I know he got an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, but still he comes across as basically wooden to me.

Geesh, you people are to critical. I enjoyed it, I've seen a lot worse.

Well I never saw the movie, so I don't know if he was standing or not. Why does that matter? Well, a grenade blows up and out. Also, all the blast power is sent into shrapnel, which doesn't blow your leg off. If he was lying down it is possible to survive. Hell my dad was amarine in vietname and a nade went off right by him, but he was standing in a break in the shrapnel pattern. But the concussion busted his ears and made his nose bleed.
