Okay, first off this is my first post. Now on to the map:

The basic concept is that it is a parking garage. It is a de (bomb) map and basically the terrorists are trying to plant explosives near the support beams in order to destroy the garage. This is my first map, so please, please please be brutally honest cause thats the only way im going to learn. Any criticism, thoughts, ideas, praises or anything would be great. So thanks in advance for anything. Now for the screens. Oh and by the way, the screen shots are really really dark for some reason, its not this dark in the actual map. Does anyone know how to fix/prevent this other than editing the pictures post taking?

your pics will usually look dark when viewing them in a web browser, because the bright windows colors contrast with the picture. people complain that maps are too dark when they see screenshots, but really most of the time the maps aren't hard to see in, once you go fullscreen.

its looking pretty good though, i would suggest making those lights more believable. in 0002 it wouldn't be so bright at the top, try using light_spot's, and get some env_sprite lightglows around the lights. there are examples of these in the sample dm map lockdown.
 
Its looking pretty good for your first map. To add little detail that just gives your map alittle something extra, add some more props/models and maybe round off some of your corners. It is really hard to see most of the stuff in your maps, because off the darkness, but it looks pretty decent. Just keep reading tutorials and add as much detail as you can. Stuff like spot lights add a really nice effect as compaired to your average light.

Pretty standard stuff. It's looking a bit blocky and the lighting needs optimising, but the startings of a good map are there, just waiting to be optimised.

[Edit:] For your first (ever or HL?) map it's definitely a promising start. Remember to vary the map sections to force as much variation in playing style as possible.

Give players on both teams the opportunity and in places the neccessity to:

- Camp long straights or snipe long distances
- Use close-proximity weapons (Shotguns, SMGs)
- Use flashbangs, grenades
- Use smoke grenades
- Use a variety of angles to create a crossfire in an area
- Sneak up on enemies
- Find or make use of alternative routes to flank enemies

Most importantly place a variety of cover in your areas that can be used to advantage when guarding/advancing on:

- location entrances/exits
- objectives (in this case bombsites)
