wireless problems

U have a Linskys card and the greenlight always flashes it never stays green,its constatly flashing and it says "signal strength low" even the PC is right next 2 the Window but it also says "connected ar 11Mbits" is that good? does the signal strength even matter? should I get a router?

well i just put my second comp in my room and bought a wireless router, and my connection most of the time says low or good. Both seem to be about the same.

when i was setting up my wireless it showed like 3 connections i could have connected to, i think it may have been my neighbors

While we're on this subject, I have a question too. Sometimes my wireless card on my desktop kind of "shuts off" my internet, you know, when I click on IE icon it says "finding server" or whatever at the bottom and I cant get a connection for like a minute or two, but it still says excellent internet connection in the system tray, some guy a while back told me to change my ports or something? Anyway, the connection is good and all just that it shuts off randomly sometimes, I just wish that didnt happen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

yea my parents wireless card does that sometimes but the desktop cards dont
