just had my wisdom teeth out a little less than 24 hours ago. what an expeirence. my cheeks are a lil puffy and sore but i had quite a large amount of fun in the dentist office when they gave me a gas that relaxed me.

it hit quick, my body got really relaxed, they had to strap my feet down so they wouldnt fall out of the chair. i was laughing at everything the girl doctors said about me being high off the gas. it was wicked funny.

i havent been on exstacy before, but i heard it makes you love people more, and now i have a pretty big crush on one of the operators assistants. (shes wicked pretty). (lol)

they did quite a nice job sowing me up, i had the gauze pads in for about a half hour, and thats all i needed, my teeth never bled again.

they gave me oxycodin and penacillin to fight pain and infection. those oxycodin pills are something else ........im still feeling the effects of the one i took 6 hours ago.

Were the nurses putting their clothes back on when you came to?

Or better yet

Was the doctor putting his clothes back on when you were finished?

Bahh i hate extracting teeth...its horrible i cant imagine how bad it will be to extract the wizdom teeth...:(

do they have to keep a relative or friend in the room while doing those kinds of procedures?

I had mine take out too. They gave me Valium before the operation. It made me really calm. Cool drug. :E

I hated when they had to remove the gauze pads that they put in the gaps. That was a weird feeling :rolling:

I had some teeth pulled when I was younger, and when I awoke I was giggling at pretty much everything...Its a strange feeling waking up with a nurse you've never seen sticking her finger in your mouth (To remove the cotton buds)

dentist didnt take out my wisdom teeth, Im quite happy with more teeth means I can bite someone's hand off easier perhaps...

no my grandmother had to leave the room while they did the operation.

the last thing i remember is the doc putting the mouth opener in my cheek and saying...im just putting this in to keep your mouth opened.

then i remember the pretty nurse standing there waking me up.
it doesnt hurt that much, my cheeks are a lil swollen and thats about all that hurts. ive only been able to sleep for about a half hour everyonce ina while.

i cant wait till the swelling is gone.

When I had my wisdom teeth removed all they did was to inject something directly into my mouth (gums?), I was awake during the whole procedure but I did not feel a thing.

HunterSeeker it was probably some kind of numbing agent..
Ahh the gas I kept control of my self in my brain my body wanted to get up and dance laugh and play but my brain kept saying no no dont do that..
then the assistants left i started laughing and i couldnt stop its such a good feeling when someone is drilling the hell out of your teeth ;x

I've had 2-3 (cant remember, i went once, and then back for more... could be 4) teeth out and they didnt give me anything, she just yanked them out with pliers. Didnt hurt much though.

I've not had my wisdom teeth out yet... cant wait, i hope i get drugged up this time :D

its called a local anaesthetic

most likely Novocaine?

They gave me both Nitrus Oxide and Novocaine when I did it. I wasnt happy or lughing per say, but I didn't really care what the doctor was doing. He could have very well cut my ear off, stuck his tweazers up my nose and called me names. My reply would have been:

" Eh...whatever..your the doc"
