Wish beta today?

Isn't the wish beta supposed to start today? I don't see anything new on there site. And the server isn't available. I thought maybe they were having server problems..but wouldn't they say something about that?
 
Because of the enormous number of beta applications that we have
received (more than 60,000 at the time of this writing), we will not
enable all beta accounts on January 1 at once. Instead, we will only
enable a number of randomly chosen beta accounts every day, starting January 1.

That was in the last mail i got from them, so relax :) play some hl2.. the game will come hehe

Yeah I know, I read that. I'm just saying, the game server should be up if the beta is starting today. Without it up you can't even get to the login screen. So this has nothing to do with accounts. Meh. ....I'm bored.

I was wondering about that as well. I've been able to get to the log in screen before. If there isn't a log in screen, no one can play.
 
Why the hell doesn't mutable realms have any forums? How are they expecting to get feedback?
 
I signed up for it, but I have no idea what its like, not even seen screenshots, meh.

edit: Read abit about it, sounds good.
 
Aye, no e-mail for me. I even tried to log in just in case.
 
I've got the email, servers down though.
 
I took a look at some of the screenshots for this game, it has a nice look to it, but seems like any other MMO game with a few specialties

I think there is a forum. There was another email about it, though it wasn't open as of 12/31.

When we do get it, be sure to post what server your going on, or...something :)

woot, I got the e-mail. When I have time I'll make a character.
 
Not got any email, although I just started the 1GB download today so i'm not bothered. 8%!!11

Well, I liked the Lineage II Beta and people said that that wasn't very good. I didn't like SWG at all.

Care to go into more detail, though?
 
No e-mail for me yet..hopefully I'll get it later. Seems like they send out e-mails all day.

That might be a good sign to me, I dont like the standard way most MMORPGs are done: SWG included.

Meh, if I got all worked up waiting to play a game thats shit.... I dunno, but I won't be happy.


Well actually no other mmorpg compares to WoW, so yeah if I had WoW I wouldn't even bother with this beta. Holy shit I want WoW.

Different people, different tastes. I thought Ryzom was pretty cool (until the devs decided to slaughter crafting and cause PHYSICAL pain on 90% of the testers), many people thought it was shit compared to the other games.

At any rate, the wish beta... Got my mail, and since I'm not a regular MMORPG player (only betas), I dont have any much of a preference.

BUT OH MY GOD THE PERFORMANCE!!!! ITS HORRIFIC

Beta bug? I dont know, but for something of that kind of graphical detail (ie pretty crappy), its very poor... I'm talking 10 fps on my 2400+/9700 Pro. Seeing one character (me), a couple of trees, some crapass attempt of grass and a black sky is FAR SLOWER than Guild Wars in the first city with hundreds of players running around.

Unplayable :(

I had an awful framerate on the character selection screen and the music kept skipping.
 
Well i'm 94% complete of the download, and I got my email. I have a 2.6ghz, radeon 9600, lets see how it does...
 
Am I the ONLY one who hasnt got the email yet!?!? ;(

It seems like a pretty good game to me. I noticed it has an auction system. It easy to equip everything and seems pretty easy to play. The game put 4x AA on for me by default which made it run like crap, but it runs OK if you set all the advanced settings properly. The character creation is pretty decent, you can change the chin width, brow height and everything like that.
 
Well it runs good if I set graphics to performance. Look like crap though. Gotto see if fighting NPCs still cause a slowdown on top of that...
 
I had the client downloaded, got my email. Tried opening the installer and it did nothing... nothing happened, it just sat using up 250k of my RAM and then my PC started screwing up, although it wasnt using any resources.
So im redownloading the thing, another 3 hours to go. If it still doesnt work, il be annoyed :( (and go back to planetside :p)
