btw. I have a question, if you get the cs 1.6 will you be able to switch back and forth between 1.5 and 1.6? or will it over write the 1.5?

also...do you still have to re-install the entire 1.6 everytime you play or have they gone past this now?

There will be no more 1.5 unless you keep it as a third party mod but it might glitch when searching for servers.

hah screw this...I've changed my mind, seems to me that steam isn't anyway near functioning properly and stable at the moment so I can't really be bothered, I think I will just wait till HL2 hits stores and hopefully by then Valve have sorted out these problems, they better not be ****ing preventing me from playing HL2 singleplayer though.

I descided my time was better used downloading the new Source trailer than STEAM...

Seriously, download Steam in a week or so and you'll have better luck. It's a bit tempermental at the moment.

actually I really wanna know how many of the problems people are having is 'caused by overload on the content servers.

that is...

steam doesn't work because of overload on servers?

or

Steam doesn't work because it's just buggy as hell?
